1933 Goudey #128 Signed Chuck Klein (PSA AUTHENTIC) – One of Only 3 PSA Encapsulated Specimens!
One of the Goudey Gum Company's most prestigious subjects is the #128 card for hard-hitting Phillies outfielder Chuck Klein who just happened to capture the National League's Triple Crown in 1933. Indeed, the Hall of Fame right-fielder would lead the Senior Circuit with 28 homers, 120 runs batted in and a spectacular .368 batting average. Klein would unfortunately pass away at the young age of 53, justifying why his autograph is an extremely difficult find on his 1933 Goudey subject, with another scripted Goudey Klein fetching $6K in August 2020. Offered here just happens to be one of only three documented Chuck Klein signed 1933 Goudey's, a stellar PSA Authentic example portraying a fine ink signature beneath his waist.

Before the iconic "Uncle Jimmy Collection" signed Goudey find, this offering was known as the only scripted Klein Goudey subject, yet most would agree that three paltry examples are not nearly sufficient to accommodate the collecting community. While the card shows even corner layering and scrapbook removal blemishes on the verso, the critical Chuck Klein batting image and accompanying background remains in aesthetically pleasing condition. Of course, the highlight is the super rare "Chuck Klein" ink script reflecting approximate "7" strength that has defied nearly 90 years of potential wear, presenting itself in splendid condition!
