GENTLEMAN MATTY!!! Due to their highly sensitive gold borders, T205s may well be the most difficult cards in our hobby to find in top condition. True EX commons are virtually never offered, let alone a major Hall of Famer. Mathewson's baseball accomplishments are absolutely legendary. It is doubtful that there has ever been a pitcher who dominated opposing batters as consistently as Matty. One of the first five Hall of Fame inductees in 1936. Mathewson compiled a 2.13 ERA over 17 seasons. Offered here is what may very well be his most attractive card. He is captured in a legendary portrait with his cap pushed back and tilted to the left.
