(LOT 1726)
c.1930s Babe Ruth Demonstrates the Proper Hitting Technique for Kids - PSA Type 1 Encapsulated Photo Measures Approx. 8" x 10"

It is no secret that Babe Ruth absolutely adored children, with his utmost affections for America's young fan base likely stemming from his volatile and incorrigible childhood lifestyle that resulted in him being placed in Baltimore's St. Mary's Industrial School for Boys. No doubt, Ruth held a "soft-spot" for virtually any youth, justifying why he typically would sign autographs or simply spend time with any group of kids. This magnificent photo issued during the 1930s reveals the great "Bambino" with six fascinated boys, intensely demonstrating for them the proper technique for swinging a bat.

Along with the "Sultan of Swat", five of the six onlookers have their respective bats outstretched, and we would surely guess that after this batting session, "The Babe" signed all six bats for his smitten worshipers. Measuring approximately 8" x 10", it emanates awe-inspiring contrast and resolution, miraculously side-stepping any obtrusive surface flaws for some 90 years. Considering how the photo market has considerably spiraled upwards the past several years, we will gladly pass the baton to you, the sophisticated collector, to ultimately decide this remarkable "Ruthian" image's true worth!
