(LOT 1710)
1927 Babe Ruth with Director Ted Wilde and Two Others on the Set of "Babe Comes Home" 8" x 10" PSA Type 1 First National Pictures Encapsulated Photo PSA/DNA LOA

Hollywood meets The Babe! In 1927, Hollywood came calling on the great Babe Ruth with the film "Babe Comes Home", a feature film about overindulgent ballplayer, wrought with vices, who falls for a woman insistent on reforming the diamond hero. Offered is an 8" x 10" photo of the Bambino, clad in his fictitious Los Angeles Angels uniform, alongside the director Ted Wilde (right) and two others apparently reviewing daily notes for upcoming scenes. The PSA encased photo is in excellent condition with no surface wear and only minimal wrinkling and edge wear at the top middle of the image. The reverse shows minimal toning and surface marks with unobtrusive photographer notations at the bottom. Included is a signed letter of authenticity from Vice President of Parkman Productions, Inc., Patricia Walsh, daughter-in-law of Ruth's longtime agent Christy Walsh.
