The well-traveled Burleigh Grimes spent 19 years in the Major Leagues with seven different teams. He earned his place in the National Baseball Hall of Fame with 270 victories including an astounding 252 wins from 1918 to 1931; double-digit wins for 14 straight seasons. Offered is a 6-1/2" x 8-1/2" Type 1 portrait photograph of Ol' Stubblebeard as a Brooklyn Dodger standing. With clean white and lightly worn borders, the image has minor surface abrasions and slight ink residue below Grimes' left eye. The back is extremely clean and displays a "PHOTO BY PAUL THOMPSON" stamp as well as "THE RING, INC." stamp. Penciled photographer notes are also present. PSA/DNA LOA included.
