Scarce 1914 B18 Blanket Paddy Bauman "Red Infield"
The B18 "blankets" earned the name as the original intention was to have each of the 5-1/4" square examples be sewn together into bed covers, quilts, pillowcases and throws. The offered Bauman (Baumann) remains in spectacular condition with rich colors and only the smallest of stray threads at center-right, bottom right corner and at center next to Bauman (white). The bottom left corner reveals light bleeding of blue with folding wrinkles visible throughout, but otherwise the square is in clean, excellent condition. The beauty of these blankets is understandable with their uniqueness and delightful and eye-catching hues of red and blue and green.
