(LOT 93)
Jackie Robinson Original TYPE 1 George Dorrill Photo Signed Twice PSA/DNA LOA Auto Grade 9 & JSA LOA

Offered is a gorgeous 8" x 10" photo that has been encapsulated as a TYPE 1 photo by PSA/DNA (with LOA). This photograph is the cropped version of a photo that noted sports photographer, George Dorrill took of Jackie, Roy Campanella, and Don Newcombe in 1950. George Dorrill was a well known photographer in St. Louis during the 1940s and '50s. His work is part of the permanent collections of the Library of Congress, New York Public Library, and the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library. He is known in the sports world for his work as a photographer for the Sporting News and the St. Louis Cardinals official photographer for many years. Jackie actually signed this photo twice, circa 1950-52, as he personalized the photo, "To Jack with best wishes" followed up by his gorgeous autograph, "Jackie Robinson" This is the first time we've ever seen this version of the photo. In addition to being authenticated as a TYPE 1 photo by PSA/DNA, the autograph has dual LOAs from PSA/DNA and JSA for the authenticity of the signature.
