SAYERS ROOKIE!!! Just a few better than this 1966 Philadelphia PSA 8.5 NM-MT+ of Gale Sayers, his prestigious Rookie card. The third issue from Philadelphia, much like the previous two, offered clear photographs of players both in action or headshots. This extremely recognizable Sayers card is an awesome example of the 1966 issuance. Strong all the way with this card as the centering, corners and color are as good as it gets. Unfortunately, the Philadelphia run ended after four releases similar to the shortened career of Sayers himself, who was forced into retirement after only seven seasons due to injuries. One of the greatest to suit up on the gridiron, this one is for you. Rookie Sayers!!!
