Group of (7) Different 1929 W553 Strip Cards PSA Graded with Ruth, Gehrig & Hornsby "RARE FIND"
RARE FIND!!! The 1929 W553 strip card set showcased action images inside of a decorative frame on the front, with blank backs. Among the tougher strip issues to find, the offered 7 different PSA graded examples, all Authentic Hand Cut, compile almost half of the entire set. The 7 cards measuring 1-3/4" x 2-3/4" are all the off-white color. Images from this set were also used in other sets, including the R316 Kashin, 1929 Leader Novelty, and the W554 strip card issues. The 7 players are as follows: Frisch, GEHRIG, Grimes, Grove, Hornsby, RUTH & Simmons. PSA has only graded a few of each of these, making them ULTRA RARE!!!

In addition to the player's picture, his replica signature and team name are on the front. Like most other strip issues, the backs are blank. These strips were printed vertically as opposed to horizontally.
