(LOT 332)
c.1980's Michael Jordan PSA Type 1 Encapsulated - The Sporting News Photo – Measures Approx. 8" x 10"

The legendary Michael Jordan would quickly make his mark in the NBA as a rookie during the 1984/'85 campaign where he would average 28.2 points per game via an outstanding .515 shooting percentage. He would continue to dominate the 1980's, averaging over 32 points per game in four consecutive seasons including his 37.1 all-time high in 1986/'87. While he would not win his inaugural championship until 1991, by the end of the 1980's, Jordan had clearly established himself as the NBA's foremost player, surpassing the likes of Magic Johnson and Larry Bird via his unparalleled athleticism. This stunning 8" x 10" PSA Type 1 c.1980's photo portrays the basketball icon donning his classic #23 Bulls road jersey as he signals "two" with his right hand's index and middle fingers. As always, you can literally feel Michael's intensity via a simple glance at his stoic expression. The borderless image reveals no glaring blemishes whatsoever, retaining its razor-sharp perimeter and sheen surface. The final compliment is the bold SPORTING NEWS sticker affixed to the verso, with this 1980's black & white marvel one of the finest Jordan images we have ever come across!
