(LOT 47)
Complete PSA Graded 1922 Eastern Exhibit Supply 20-Postcard Set – #4 on the PSA Set Registry w/a 4.875 Weighted G.P.A.

In 1922, the Philadelphia based Eastern Exhibit Supply Company distributed a 20-subject postcard set with standard postcard typography on the reverse sides (as opposed to the Chicago based company that produced 1921 and 1922 "blank back" exhibits). All 20 cards in this complete PSA set offering include the reverse side Eastern Exhibit Supply Co., Philadelphia designation blacked out via a solid overprint line, with the correct 509 So. Dearborn St. Chicago, Ill. address situated directly beneath it. The obverse sides include outstanding sepia-toned images of baseball's premier players with their complete names and team designations printed in white ink near the lower edge.

This miraculous 20-card PSA graded compilation is currently listed as the 4th finest set (titled "MEMORYLANEINC") on the illustrious PSA Set Registry, boasting a stellar 4.875 Weighted G.P.A. w/Top Pop Bonuses! Indeed, only 3 sets have ever bested this awe-inspiring gathering that just happens to include an unfathomable 12 Cooperstown Inductees, representing 60% of the 20 total subjects. Only a handful of pre-war sets possibly boast such a staggering percentage of HOF greats, with the top tier Hall of Famers including Babe Ruth (PSA 4), Ty Cobb (PSA 4), Walter Johnson (PSA 6), Rogers Hornsby (PSA 4.5), Tris Speaker (PSA 6) and Grover Alexander (PSA 4).

Regarding the technical assessments, all grades range between "VG/EX 4" and "EX/MT 6" (qualifiers not-withstanding) with the grades including three PSA 6's; two PSA 5.5's; six PSA 5's; three PSA 4.5's; five PSA 4's; and one PSA 5/MC. Not a single card is graded lower than a VG/EX 4 with all the examples providing super eye pleasing aesthetics. For your convenience, we have included the following chart that provides all 20 subjects in alphabetical order, their respective PSA grades and POP/POP HIGHER data.

CHART!!!!!

Clearly one can see that virtually all of the postcards have eluded any glaring surface blemishes with mild/uniform corner wear the primary culprit for their assessments. Two cards share the spotlight as the finest of their kind (Speaker & Galloway), and we certainly do not need to elaborate on the significance of any VG/EX 4 Babe Ruth exhibit postcard with the escalating values for early 1920's "Sultan of Swat" exhibits synonymous to an uncontrollable brush-fire. It might be quite some time before you are afforded another opportunity to capture this extremely obscure complete set via a simple final bid, with its vast array of Cooperstown Inductees spearheaded by the incomparable George Herman "Babe" Ruth!

Note: For your convenience, we have included the following chart that provides all 20 subjects in alphabetical order, their respective PSA grades and PSA 'Pop", and PSA "Pop Higher" figures.

MIN BID $3,500
