(LOT 30)
Extremely Scarce 1957 Walt Disney Signed Gold Pass to James Reinhold – Measures Approx. 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" - PSA/DNA Authentic/Encapsulation!

One of the most sought-after entertainment autographs continues to be the seldom-surfacing signature of the iconic Walt Disney whose legendary theme parks will forever stand the test of time. With that in mind, presented here is a magnificent 1957 Disney Theme Park Gold Pass boldly signed in black pen on the front side by the legendary Walt Disney, with these passes first originated in 1955 to allow the holder lifetime access to all of the captivating theme parks owned and operated by the Walt Disney Company. The inaugural Golden Pass/Card was awarded to Dave MacPherson, the first member of the public to become a paying guest at Disneyland, with similar passes provided to all Disney legends as well as special guests, dignitaries, heads of state, VIPs, corporate sponsors and all Board of Directors members.

This particular offering portrays outstanding aesthetics and was given to James Reinhold, his name neatly typed on the front side as well as signed by Reinhold on the verso. Typically awarded to the aforementioned individuals during the Christmas season, the owner was allotted their own admission to the Disney Theme Park plus a party of up to five every day of the calendar year. Of utmost significance is the hallowed "Walt Disney" script that resides as one of the most elusive and highly coveted of all Hollywood autographs. The combined scarcity and immortal stature of Walt Disney drive this insatiable quest to capture his sanctified signature. Walt Disney was an American entrepreneur, animator and film producer and is generally regarded by most as the pioneer of the Animation industry via his innovative introduction of several developments in the production of cartoons. He still holds the record for the most Oscars by an individual film producer, winning 22 Oscars among his staggering 59 nominations.

Yet, for all of his legendary film related accolades, he will forever be best remembered for being the "architect" of the world-renowned "Disneyland" theme park first opened in Anaheim, California on July 17, 1955. Designed and built under the complete supervision of Disney, he would eventually begin the same process on another theme park to be called "Disney World" in Orlando, Florida. Unfortunately, his continuous heavy smoking eventually resulted in Disney contracting lung cancer, ultimately claiming his life in 1966 before the Orlando based theme park was opened. One of Walt Disney's most significant mementos, this offering not only reflects his immortal autograph, but additionally resides as an heirloom directly linking the collector to a period of time when this ingenious entrepreneur successfully opened the original Disney theme park that proudly stands as his most definitive accomplishment!
