(LOT 100)
1957 Topps #117 Don Bingham (PSA Mint 9) – "1 of 1"; The SOLE Highest Graded Example!

Although Donald Bingham played only a single NFL season with the Chicago Bears in 1956, his grid-iron legacy will live forever via this remarkable "PSA Mint 9" 1957 Topps 3117 subject that is the SOLE and HIGHEST GRADED example! While this talented halfback and kick-return artist will never be enshrined in Canton, Ohio, his representation on this "best of the rest" marvel will outlast eternity via its uncontested pinnacle assessment. Its "pack-fresh" aesthetics include two breathtaking images of the formidable Bears running back, a brilliant array of radiant yellow, orange and mid-night blue hues, sharp right-angled corners, and virtually immaculate surfaces. Yet, most impressive is the near-perfect centering that seldom surfaces for any 1957 Topps subject, with this particular offering revealing two virtually dead-on 50/50 centered images situated between bright white borders. Once again, the sheer beauty of this hobby strikes again as an assumingly simple one-year NFL football player's stature is escalated to stratospheric heights via his "one of a kind" highest graded cardboard treasure!
