(LOT 750)
"Unique for the Grade" 1960 Fleer #116 Hank Stram (PSA Gem Mint 10) - "1 of 1; THE SOLE PSA GEM MINT 10 Example!

Incredible as it may seem, PSA has encapsulated approximately 400 Hank Stram 1960 Fleer #116 subjects with only a single example managing to achieve the pinnacle "Gem Mint 10" grade. That said, presented here is that sole PSA 10 "unique for the grade" marvel that like many of Hank Stram's championship teams, stands tall as the finest of its kind! Coach Stram began his professional football head coaching career when he was selected as the Dallas Texans head coach in 1960, the AFL's inaugural season. It only took two seasons for Stram to win his first AFL championship (1962), and for the following 1963 campaign, the Texans would move to Kansas City, MO. with their new team name being the Kansas City Chiefs. Four years later, Stram's Chiefs would win the 1966 AFC Championship and play in the first Super Bowl, unfortunately falling short to Vince Lombardi's Green Bay Packers.

Stram's defining moment came in 1969/'70 when he led the Chiefs to another AFC Championship, this time besting the Vikings in Super Bowl IV to claim his only NFL World Championship. A brilliant individual, Stram never had an offensive or defensive coordinator, with his ultra-successful 17-year coaching career justifying his election to Pro-Football's Hall of Fame in 2003. Like Stram himself, this "1 of 1" esteemed offering is also worthy of a final resting place in Canton, Ohio due to its "one of a kind" Gem Mint 10 stature. Stram's breathtaking portrait image portrays a candid smile, sparkling hues, blistering sharp corner tips, near-dead-on 50/50 centering, snow white borders, impeccable surfaces and vivid resolution. Pack fresh in every conceivable manner, if PSA had to pick one 1960 Fleer #116 subject as its only "Gem Mint 10" specimen, they selected wisely by choosing this seemingly perfect offering that stands "heads and heels" above all of its inferior peers!
