Circa 1919 A. G. Spalding Lithographers Proof Cigar Box Label
This Inside Lid Version Cigar Box Label was issued over 100 years ago, circa 1919. It is a Proof Lithographers Cigar Box Label of the father of Baseball, A. G. Spalding. Measuring 6" x 6" the Label displays boldly with just a 1/2" margin tear on the left border that does not affect the Image. The Lithographers initials in ink on the front bottom left warranty completed proofing. The back of the Label show period notations regarding ink colors in pencil. Impressive and highly visual piece of early period Memorabilia/Tobacciana representing one of the most important figures in Baseball history, A. G. Spalding. Only a few of these are known to exist and this one is offered in overall VG-EX condition with visual dominance!!1
