(LOT 1288)
OAL Baseball from Rod Carew's 3000th Hit Game to Moose Stubing Autographed and Detailed by Rod Carew 8/4/85 PSA/DNA Pre-Certified

This baseball was used in Rod Carew's 3000th hit game, close to 2 months before he took his last plate appearance on October 5th, 1985. Son of the original owner states that his father, Larry "Moose" Stubbing, then the 3rd base coach of the California Angels, was gifted this baseball on the exact day "Rod" hit his 3000th hit. We can't say that this ball used to hit his 3000th hit, but we do know per our consignor, son of "Moose" Stubbing, that this in fact was a baseball used in the game that day on August 4th, 1985. Baseball Hall Of Famer Rod Carew's handwriting and signature read, "Rod Carew 8/4/85, Moose-This game ball is to commemorate my 3000th Hit. Thanks for all your help. My best to you"...Signature and hand writing has been verified by PSA/DNA and has been Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA. A great relic signed by a legendary California Angel that Moose's son attested that, "This baseball was signed on the day Rod hit his 3000th hit and it was given to my father. We were at Rod's house that day and it was a very cool day. My dad was third base coach at the time". Bid with confidence as this is one piece of history you don't want to miss.
