1939-Babe Ruth Gives a Women's Softball Team Hitting Instruction - International News Type I Photo – Measures Approx. 6-1/2" x 8-1/2" – Full PSA Type 1 LOA

Who better than to give a women's softball team some batting instruction than the incomparable George Herman "Babe" Ruth! Indeed, this magnificent offering portrays the "Sultan of Swat" holding a classic piece of lumber as he demonstrates both a batting grip and swinging pose for the "Americanettes" Girls Softball Team at St. Albans Golf Course. The flipside caption clearly states that the Americanettes will face off against the Roverettes in a game played at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, May 9, 1939 as part of a doubleheader in aid of the Boys Club of New York.

The approximate 6-1/2" x 8-1/2" well-centered offering e xhibits brilliant resolution and near-perfect contrast, and you can literally feel the excitement of the captivated ladies as they truly bask in the joy of being in the presence of the immortal Ruth. The flipside reflects the aforementioned caption that provides a detailed account of the Ruthian image as well as a light International News Photo stamp that is partly covered by the caption. Obscure to say the least, this superb heirloom represents another infinite-like example of Babe Ruth's unparalleled propensity to utterly please his adoring fan base, with the Bambino thriving on fulfilling the dreams of his seemingly countless number of passionate followers!
