Fine fielding catcher Phil Masi spent 14 years in the Major Leagues, most of them with the Boston Braves with his final three campaigns playing for the Chicago White Sox. His most formidable season was in 1947 when he batted .304 with the Braves, and he was included on three consecutive All-Star teams from 1946 – 1948.
