(LOT 188)
"Unique for the Grade" 1951 Bowman #32 Duke Snider (PSA Gem Mint 10) – "1 of 1": The SOLE Highest Graded Example!

Hall of Fame centerfielder Duke Snider never looked better than in this "UNIQUE FOR THE GRADE" 1951 Bowman PSA gem Mint 10 masterpiece that stands alone as the finest of its kind! Incredibly, PSA has encapsulated over 950 examples with this supreme offering proudly residing as the one and only "10". Regarding Duke Snider's illustrious stature, he certainly needs no introduction within the collecting community. Along with Willie Mays and Mickey Mantle, the "Duke" battled throughout the 1950's for New York supremacy at the centerfield position.

One of the few players in baseball history to have hit 40 or more home runs in 5 consecutive seasons and the first National Leaguer to accomplish that feat, Snider was adored by a seemingly endless number of Brooklyn Dodger fanatics with his obscure collectibles highly sought after in the hobby. Few of those keepsakes could possibly be considered as significant as this breathtaking PSA 10 gem that portrays an outstanding Snider batting pose donning his classic Brooklyn uniform. The image only slightly favors the upper left borders, residing between four blinding white orders that include pinpoint corners. An atypical stained-free verso is the final superlative for the sole "PSA Gem 10" 1951 Bowman "Duke of Flatbush" subject!
