(LOT 965)
Granny Hamner Game Used Multi Signed Bat & 1980 Philadelphia Phillies World Series Championship Ring MLI LOA's

With a career .262 Batting Average and 104 Home Runs, Hamner played with this bat during the 1953 All-Star season. This 35", 33 oz. bat has a repaired crack on the handle yet exhibits great game use. Hamner went on to record 15 years with the Philadelphia Phillies, playing in one World Series in 1950 against the New York Yankees. Even though they lost, Hamner went 6 for 14 with 3 Extra Base hits.

An All-Star three years in a row (1952-1954), Hamner was the National League's starting shortstop in the 1952 All-Star Game, played on his home field, Shibe Park, in Philadelphia. Not only was this dark brown wooden bat used by Hamner in many games, it has also been signed by 15 members of the Philadelphia Phillies including Robin Roberts, Warren Hacker, Curt Simmons, Ransom Jackson, Eddie Mayo, Smokey Burgess, Murray Dickson, Benny Bengough, Stan Lopata, Jim Konstanty, Thorton Kipper, Danny Schell, Bob Miller, Steve Ridzik and Willie Jones. A great bat which has been PSA/DNA Pre-Certified.

Also, in this lot, there is a 1980 Philadelphia Phillies World Series Championship 1980 Ring.  The Ring is inscribed on one side "HAMNER" and "1980" on the other side. Issued by Balfour, inscribed on the inside "Balfour", this Ring weighs 32.4 grams and is size 11 and made in 10K gold. A gorgeous Ring that is also accompanied with a PSA/DNA full LOA.
