(LOT 938)
Charles Comiskey Type Letter Signed To Geo. E. Mills c/o A.G. Spalding PSA/DNA Pre-Certified

On August 6th, 1912, Chicago White Sox Owner (1901-1931) and Baseball Hall Of Famer, Charles Comiskey writes Mr. George E. Mills at the Spalding Factory in Montreal, Canada explaining that they no longer need the services of Mr. Page because, "at the present time my club is up to the limit allowed by the League, and I do not think I will be able to handle more, so for the present will no longer need your services".

One might ask, Montreal? A. G. Spalding and Brothers, an American company, wanted to build a factory in Brantford to manufacture sporting goods before their rival, the A. G. Reach Company of Canada, Ltd., could finish their new factory. A great letter, signed in a steel tip fountain pen, on Baseball Club Letterhead. Letterhead has been trimmed at the top. Great content from one Hall Of Famer to one Pioneer. PSA/DNA Pre-Certified.
