(LOT 49)
1915 Cracker Jack #3 Joe Tinker PSA 8 NM-MT

TINKER!!! One of the most prestigious baseball cards ever produced were the Cracker Jack cardboard relics included in the caramel candy boxes in 1914 and 1915. Loaded with many of our National Pastime's Cooperstown inductees, one of its most renowned players is the immortal Chicago Cubs Hall of Fame shortstop Joe Tinker, presented here in an outstanding PSA 8 holder. There isn't a single baseball fan that hasn't heard of the famous "Tinker to Evers to Chance" double play combination that led the Cubs to several pennants and two World Championships in 1907 and 1908. This example lists the famous Cubs shortstop as a member of the Chicago federal league team since Tinker defected to the new league in 1914. Ironically, Tinker may have defected to a new league, but his 1915 Cracker Jack offering shows NO DEFECTS, whatsoever! Own this tough card issued over 100 years ago.
