ULTRA RARE WALTER JOHNSON ROOKIE CARD!!! Arguably the greatest pitcher of the twentieth century, Walter Johnson is by far the all time leader in shutouts with 110 and second behind only Cy Young in all time wins with 417. He and Young are the only pitchers ever to win 400 games. He was the leader in strikeouts a Major League Record 12 times and was the only player in the 3000 strike out club for over 50 years until Bob Gibson joined him in 1974.

Well deserving, Johnson was elected one of the first 5 inductees into the Baseball Hall of Fame along with Ruth, Cobb, Mathewson and Wagner. Also, in 1999, "The Big Train" was voted by The Sporting News # 4 on the 100 Greatest Baseball Players of all time. A mini-masterpiece is created with the famous Carl Horner black and white striking cameo image surrounded by an ornate embossed gold filigree design. This 109 year old PSA 3 card is well worthy of a nice home.
