Joe DiMaggio Autographed "Summer of 41" Special Edition Mitchell & Ness Cooperstown Pinstripe Jersey #26/325 PSA/DNA LOA

The year 1941 was one of monumental proportions. In that year our country entered World War II. In baseball three profound occurrences took place. The Iron Horse, Lou Gehrig died. Ted Williams hit .406 and became the last major league player to hit .400 in a season. Last but not least, Joe DiMaggio, the Yankee Clipper set a record that many feel will never be broken by hitting in 56 games safely. Not only did he set the record in the memorable season but he beat out Ted Williams for the league MVP award and lead his Yankees to the World Series championship over the Brooklyn Dodgers 4-1.

To commemorate this milestone year and Joe's timeless streak, Pro Sports Services in conjunction with Joe DiMaggio's company Yankee Clipper Enterprises agreed to a limited edition of 325 jerseys. These are Mitchell and Ness exact replica flannel jerseys which are exactly what DiMaggio wore that incredible season. These pieces were signed in December of 1997. This is jersey numbered #26 of 325. Pro Sports Services was also the company that put out the famous 1941 bat. This is considered the premier signed jersey for DiMaggio who never signed jerseys for Upper Deck. On the bottom right side of the front jersey is embroidered the following "In the Summer of "41" Joe DiMaggio hit safely in 56 straight games wearing these New York Yankee Pinstripes  26/325" commemorating the 1941 season. Unless you have a gamer signed buy DiMaggio, this is as good as it gets! PSA/DNA LOA included.
