Game Used Base From Derek Jeter's Final Games Played at Tampa Bay's Tropicana Field – September 15-17, 2015
Avid Yankee fans will never forget Derek Jeter's final tour of playing in various Major League stadiums after the sensational shortstop announced that 2014 would be his final season. With a list of accolades synonymous to a St. Nicholas "gift list", the Yankee Captain's legacy was forever cemented in stone, with his opposition presenting him with an array of gifts and adoration in his final appearances at their respective home fields. On September 15th, the Yankees would visit the Tampa Bay Devil Ray's Tropicana Field for the last time in 2014 for a 3-game series. While Jeter sat out the first game, he managed to play in the next two contests, going 1-4 with a run scored in the final September 17th game, won by the Yankees 3-2. As a monumental keepsake from that final Tampa Bay series, presented here is one of the three "game used" bases utilized at Tropicana Field.

As ironclad authenticity, two opposite sides of the base portray the special enclosed rectangular plates Tampa Bay inserted in the base to honor Derek Jeter. The plate reads: "TROPICANA FIELD – RAYS VS. YAMKEES – SEPTEMBER 15-17, 2014", with the Tampa Bay "TB" logo on the far left and a commemorative "DEREK JETER #2 NEW YORK "CAPTAIN" YANKEES" logo on the far right. The remaining two opposite sides include the standard "TB – RAYS – TB" insignia plates. The base still includes its original stem and reveals an extensive amount of infield dirt on the top surface that is inscribed "SCHUTT ORIGINAL HOLLYWOOD BASES – JACK CORBETT – HOLLYWOOD BASES" with the classic major league baseball logo affixed directly beneath these captions. A remarkable game used heirloom from Jeter's final tour at Tropicana Field, it immediately conjures up heartfelt memories of the future Hall of Famer's incredible Yankee tenure that solidifies his place alongside the finest Yankee immortals such as Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle and Berra!
