(LOT 1118)
1950's Wilson Children's Uniform in Original Box

This 1950's Wilson Baseball Uniform comes in the original box. The box design for the "Famous Players Baseball Uniform" features action photos of Al Kaline, Luis Aparicio and Nelson Fox on the cover as well as a portrait of Johnny Antonelli. Two side panels display portrait photos of Ted Williams and Harvey Kuenn. The contents are complete with both jersey and pants (each gray with red and blue piping, size "large") as well as a navy blue cap featuring "Major League" printed across the top.

Also included are three heat transfer label sheets (two complete sets of alphabet letters and one smaller sheet bearing the number "9") which enabled the owner to decorate the uniform with a team name on the front and/or a number with the use of an iron. As Ted Williams was number 9 at the time, this particular uniform set would allow any young slugger to parade around as a miniature version of the "Splendid Splinter." The uniform is brand new, exactly as made, and is in NM condition. The box (12" x 9" x 3") in in overall EX condition. An exceptional 1950's retail piece for the high end collector.
