Honus Wagner & Rebel Keene Circa 1910-15 Pirates Paul Thompson Original Photo PSA Type 1
Rebel Keene was a very popular home run hitting ballplayer at the turn of the century. He played minor league baseball in the Mid-West for Springfield and Indianapolis from 1911-1914. Honus Wagner was one of the biggest Major League stars during this era. We offer an original 7" x 5" photo taken by legendary baseball photographer, Paul Thompson showing Rebel Keene in a tryout circa 1910-15 with the Pittsburgh Pirates (he never played for them). It shows an unidentified man to his right and Honus Wagner as a player coaching him in the background. One will seldom find original photos of Wagner during his playing days; rather one will usually find original images of him as a coach in his later years.
