The noble Pittsburgh Pirates superstar was just months from his untimely demise when he filled out and signed this personal check in payment of his Cash check of $100.00. Dated June 6th, 1972 and drawn off the Mellon National Bank and Trust Company of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, his blue ballpoint ink remains as bold as the date of application, and the check itself appears to be in NM+ condition. The check is slabbed in an "Authentic" capsule by PSA/DNA for protection and unquestioned authenticity. One of the games greats on this canceled check that would enhance any high end check collection.
