c.1929 - 1931 Philadelphia Athletics Partial Team Signed Official American League Baseball w/Foxx & Simmons – Full PSA & JSA LOAs
Realistically thinking, after the Yankees won their second consecutive championship in 1928 led by Ruth, Gehrig and the remaining "Murderer's Row" slugging legends, who would have thought that this juggernaut club could possibly be beaten! Yet, courtesy of the crafty team building skills of iconic manager Connie Mack, the Philadelphia Athletics would capture the next three American League pennants (1929-1931) while winning both the 1929 and 1930 Fall Classics.

This team hosted their own laundry list of legendary Cooperstown inductees including the likes of Jimmie Foxx, Al Simmons, Mickey Cochrane and flame thrower Lefty Grove. A superb keepsake from this legendary team is presented here; a partial team signed 1929-1931 Official A.L. Barnard baseball signed by the immortal Jimmie Foxx and Al Simmons.

Additional notable signatures include P. Todt, B. Shores and J. Dykes. While JSA has deemed a number of signatures either clubhouse or stamps (Grove, Cochrane/2x, one of the two Al Simmons scripts, Haas, Boley, Bishop and Miller), the critical Jimmie Foxx and Al Simmons bold black fountain pen signatures are indeed original!

Although the ball has been shellacked for purposes of sheer preservation as well as portraying significant toning, chipping and general surface wear, the elaborate green/red stitching remains tightly wound with the somewhat faded "E. Barnard" and "American League baseball" stamps clearly legible. "Fresh to the hobby", for nearly 87 years it was safely tucked away in a family's collection, now surfacing with the highly coveted Foxx and Simmons scripts!
