c.1949 Yogi Berra PSA Type I Original Photo – "Image Used for Yogi Berra's 1950 Bowman #46 Subject" - Measures Approx. 8" x 10" - PSA Type I LOA

Original photos utilized for classic baseball cards is one of the hottest collecting angles in the hobby and presented here is an extremely rare "Circa" 1949 Yogi Berra PSA Type 1 image that is the EXACT photo used for his 1950 Bowman #46 subject! Measuring approximately 8" x 10", it portrays the legendary Yankee catcher in a "squatting" position, donning his catching equipment as he is about to throw the baseball. Assumingly taken at a spring training facility, it projects the finest possible clarity and contrast, with no glaring surface flaws on either side.

The nearly "dead-on" centered classic image resides between four bright white borders with the verso including a New York Yankees ink stamp and scripted notations "Larry Berra" and "1950 Bowman". A truly significant photo, it represents one of baseball's greatest catchers ever, with many historians regarding Berra as the arguable finest all-time receiver (w/all due respect to Johnny Bench). His World Series records include 14 appearances, 10 championships, 75 games, and 71 all-time hits. If that isn't enough, he won 3 MVP awards and played in a remarkable 15 All-Star games. All of the above are a steadfast testament to Berra's unbridled legacy, justifying why this quintessential 1950 Bowman Type 1 Berra photo surly resides as one of his foremost keepsakes! - LOA – PSA/DNA Type I
