(LOT 95)
T206 Hughie Jennings "One Hand Showing" – Piedmont 350 Subjects/Factory 25 (PSA NM/MT 8) - "1 of 1" Sweet Caps; NO Sweet Caps Graded Higher"!

Hobby enthusiasts will always link Hall of Famer Hughie Jennings to the renowned "Eeyah" phrase he consistently shouted from the coaching box (it means "watch out" in Hawaiian), with many of his "E" and "T" cards utilizing his classic "Eeyah" body language pose. Presented here is a spectacular PSA 8 T206 Jennings "One Hand Showing" Piedmont example that is the SOLE PSA listed Piedmont copy with NONE graded higher! Before his legendary managerial stint with the Detroit Tigers, Jennings was the late 19th century shortstop star of the Baltimore Orioles. Along with fellow stars such as Keller, McGraw and Robinson, he played a major role in leading the Orioles to 3 consecutive pennants from 1894 – 1896, even batting .401 in a single season.

Yet, for all of his "on the field" accomplishments, he is still widely renowned for his managerial stint with the Detroit Tigers where he won three 3-consecutive A.L. championships his first three years of managing (1907 – 1909). Synonymous with Jennings pennant winning ways is this championship caliber masterpiece that is worthy of a place in a cardboard Hall of Fame. A sparkling Jennings pose highlights this masterpiece with the iconic image one of the most widely recognized hobby illustrations. Brilliant facial, gray and black tints comprise Jennings hallowed stance with the legendary manager set against a radiant yellow hued background, and the illustration only mildly positioned towards the upper left edges. Pinpoint corners, bright white borders, and a super clean "Piedmont 350 Subjects" verso complete this century+ old gem that resides as the finest of its kind!
