T206 Clark Griffith "Portrait" Sweet Caporal 150 Subjects (PSA NM/MT 8) - "1 of 1" Sweet Caporal & The Highest Graded Example!

Collecting high grade 206 Hall of Famers? If the answer is "yes", this is your lucky day because this magnificent PSA 8 T206 offering of Hall of Famer Clark Griffith currently resides as the SOLE and HIGHEST GRADED Sweet Caporal PSA listed example! Hall of Famer Clark Griffith was nicknamed the "Old Fox", and while winning 240 games over a super major league career was more renowned for his 20-year managerial stint with four different ball clubs as well as becoming the major owner of the Washington Nationals. Like most of the T206 specimens carrying the prestigious Carl Horner portrait images, his representation on this pinnacle offering is ultra-desirable.

Nothing less than spectacular, the sanctified portrait pose depicts superior registration and a sparkling blend of blue, red and facial colored hues. The vibrant orange background is virtually un-improvable, with the superb centering enhanced via the four blinding white borders ending at blistering sharp edges. No obtrusive surface flaws are evident on either side, and the Sweet Caporal ad back is super clean. Rarely does a century+ old card manage to defy a century of potential wear by sustaining virtually all of its original print qualities; yet somehow this majestic cardboard gem has accomplished that miraculous feat and been appropriately rewarded with a NM/MT 8 assessment!
