(LOT 89)
T206 Elmer Flick - Piedmont 350 Subjects/Factory 25 (PSA NM/MT 8) - "1 of 1" Sweet Caporal & The Highest Graded Example!

Featured here is an extremely "scarce for the grade" PSA 8 specimen, a breathtaking representation of Cooperstown inductee Elmer Flick depicting a Piedmont 350 Subjects ad back. Consider that this supreme offering stands as the SOLE and HIGHEST graded Piedmont Cigarettes Flick on the prestigious PSA "Pop" Chart! Hall of Famer Elmer Flick was one of the game's best hitters at the turn of the century, evidenced by a .313 lifetime batting average. In fact, Flick was so well respected on the baseball diamond for both his hitting and fielding attributes, in 1907 Detroit offered to trade their young aspiring outfielder, Ty Cobb, in an even "swap" for Flick!

Cleveland refused to seal the deal since management expected even greater things to come from Flick. Unfortunately, a series of injuries eventually plagued Flick and ultimately curtailed his prominent career. Fortunately, Flick's peak level performance was sufficient enough to earn him an eternal resting place in Cooperstown, New York. Likewise, this supreme offering portrays Hall of Fame cardboard stature via Flick's sparkling central image, radiant yellow/orange hued background, excellent centering, razor sharp perimeter and super clean surfaces. A "best of the rest" versus its Sweet Caporal peers, it merits the utmost attention from any esteemed PSA Registry tobacco enthusiast!
