1910 E98 "Black Swamp" Al Bridwell – Orange Background (PSA NM 7) – Only One "Orange Background" Graded Higher"!
One of the greatest hobby discoveries is the 2012 "Black Swamp Find" that disclosed an abundance of "pack-fresh" E98's. Virtually all of the cards exhibited near-mint or better technical assessments with this PSA 7 Orange Background Al Bridwell only bested by a single PSA encapsulated copy! Rarely, does a century old card bear the near-impossible fortune of retaining ALL of its original print attributes, but this "Black Swamp" Bridwell has manage to withstand the test of time via its spine-tingling aesthetics.

Exhibiting many "pack-fresh" aesthetics, Bridwell's classic batting image is ably assisted by a robust autumn orange background. Blinding white borders, ultra-sharp corner tips and a relatively clean surface complete this century old masterpiece that falls short of the next assessment only due to a modest tilted image that favors the left edge. Bridwell was the New York Giants star shortstop for many seasons, and we cannot image any cad better representing his legacy than this near-mint "Black Swamp" gem that via its iconic pedigree will stand the test of time!
