(LOT 35)
1961 Topps #415 Hank Aaron (PSA Mint 9) - NONE Graded Higher!

Since PSA's inception, approximately 2,000 Hank Aaron 1961 Topps card have been encapsulated by the illustrious grading service with not a single Gem Mint 10 specimen achieving this "Holy Grail" assessment. This explains why this remarkable PSA Mint 9 offering is highly sought after by the hobby's most esteemed PSA Set registry collectors. The 1961 season would see the great Henry Aaron swat 34 round-trippers, bat a robust .327 and knock in 120 runs. Just another "year at the office" for the immortal slugger who was now compiling superstar seasons at a very consistent rate.

That same year, Topps would choose an extremely elaborate throwing pose of the home run king. Utilizing an incredible array of brilliant hues, the perfectly centered image resides between four of the brightest white borders you will ever encounter. All four corner tips could draw blood, and both surfaces have totally eluded any blemishes over the past 55 years. One look at this card clearly substantiates the notion of just how excruciating it is to find a "Gem Mint 10" card for if this absolutely stunning gem failed the test, it may be quite some time before that pinnacle "10" ever surfaces!
