(LOT 10)
Harmon Killebrew's Autographed #536 Homerun bat, which tied Mickey Mantle's lifetime Homerun total
KILLEBREW/MANTLE!!! On 8-29-1972, the Minnesota Twins were playing the Baltimore Orioles and Harmon Killebrew was in the tail end of his career. During this game he hit a homerun off Mike Cuellar and the crown went wild when the scoreboard posted "Harmon Killebrew just tied Mickey Mantle's homerun total of 536". The next time up, the first pitch to Harmon was up and in and he fouled it off. As he hit the bat on the plate, he realized it was cracked and came back to the dugout for a new piece of lumber.

The batboy, Jim Fisher, took the bat out after the game and asked Harmon if he could have it. Harmon indicated that was fine and Jim took the magic marker, that Frank Quilici-the Twins manager had used for the lineup card, and wrote on the bat, "Tied Mickey Mantle's Homerun". Fortunately Jim kept it in a safe place until now, when he decided to let a baseball fan enjoy this piece of history. Comes with a letter signed by Jim Fisher and a LOA from PSA/DNA.

MIN BID $5,000
