Wally Garard (Cleveland Rams) Personal Contract, Watch, Award and Programs from 1939

GARARD GROUP!!! Wally Garard was a tackle for the Cleveland Rams in the lats 30's. He played at St. Mary's in 1938 and was drafted right out of college in 1939 in the 4th round by the Cleveland Rams as a tackle. This lot consists of many personal items of Wally's as follows: His original 3 copy contact to the 1939 Cleveland Rams signed by Rams President, Thomas Lipcomb, and is accompanied with a cover letter inviting Wally to the Rams also signed by Lipcomd. Five programs including 4 St. Mary's from 1938 and the 3rd Cotton Bowl all with a hole punch across the top left side though the program.

The Cotton Bowl Program was between St. Mary's and Texas Tech and has 30 autographs inside including key players from both sides. Also, there is a 4x4 inch original B&W action photo as well as Wally's personal watch inscribed on the back to him commemorating the 3rd Cotton Bowl and Wally's 1938 St. Mary's 1 inch metal football pendant also inscribed to Wally. This lot is completed with an autographed football from 1934 commemorating Santa Clara Frosh vs. St. Mary's signed by 25 players. This lot has historic significance and is PSA Pre-Certified.
