1887 Four Base Hits James Mutrie Manager PSA 5 EX
ONE AND ONLY!!!! Although the exact origin of this set is still in doubt, the Four Base Hit series are among the rarest and toughest 19th century tobacco cards. This series measures 2 1/4 x 3 7/8ths, and are thought to be issued by either Charles Gross & Company or August Beck & Company due to the similarity of their issues. These cards feature a sepia toned picture with a Smoke Four Base Hits logo on the bottom as well as being blank backed. This card, is of Manager James Mutrie and is the One and Only in this PSA EX 5 holder. A very important card from the late 1800's. Consider that this card is over 120 years old. WOW.
