Connie Mack Handwritten Letter Dated March 1933 (Spring Training) PSA/DNA LOA

Connie Mack letters may not be as rare as many believe, but this one is exceptional. Its rarity stems from its significant content and length, accompanied by Mack's original handwritten envelope postmarked March 1933 during Spring Training. The letter reads: "Dear Doctor O'Meara, I was pleased to receive your letter and the article on John O'Brien, whom I knew very well. I'm glad they wrote such an article about him, as he has been out of the game for a long time. The Sunday baseball bill is still being discussed in Harrisburg; there's no telling what will come of it. From the current outlook, we won't have any chance this year. The Webster fans were correct about Gilbert pitching that one-to-nothing game against Detroit, featuring the famous team with the big four: Ned Hanlon as captain, (Dan) Brouthers, (Hardy) Richardson, and (Jack) Rowe. That game was played in Washington in 1886, late in the fall. I have some good players to replace those I let go, but our teamwork isn't great yet; it will improve as we go on. I hope to make a good showing. Many thanks for your interest. Best wishes, Sincerely yours, Connie Mack." Dated March 25, 1933, on the title page, this letter offers a fascinating glimpse into baseball history and mentions several pioneers of the game. A PSA/DNA Letter of Authenticity is included.
