LAST NY SEASON!!! In 1957, Willie Mays finished fourth in NL MVP voting behind the ultimate winner Hank Aaron despite surpassing The Hammer with a league-leading 38 triples, a .333 batting average, a .407 on-base percentage and a .422 slugging percentage. Aaron led in runs, HRs and RBIs. But Willie would win a second NL MVP award in 1965. In his final season playing in New York's Polo Grounds, Willie would capture his first of 12 straight Gold Gloves in 1957 after posting a .980 fielding percentage with 14 assists.
