1957 Topps #95 Mickey Mantle PSA 8 NM-MT
TWO STRAIGHT MVPs!!! The 1957 Topps #95 Mickey Mantle card highlights one of the greatest seasons in Major League history as The Mick became only the tenth player since 1900 to capture the elusive Triple Crown. An All-Star four times already, Mantle lived up to the hype that earned him the nickname "Commerce Comet" while growing up in rural Oklahoma. Mickey clouted league-leading totals in home runs with 52 while driving in 130 RBIs and batting an American League best .353. To top off the season, he batted .250 with three home runs as the Yankees again beat Brooklyn in the World Series. The 1957 Topps issue remains one of the most coveted Mantle issues in the hobby in high-grade as it emphasizes that historic campaign. Presented here is a 1957 Topps Mantle graded 8 NM-MT by PSA. Displaying incredibly sharp edging, minimally touched bottom right corner, incredible imagery and clean surfaces with only slight off-centering favoring the bottom edge that likely attests for this example not reaching the heralded 9 MINT mark. The reverse remains as striking as the face, presenting additional off-center attributes. This high-grade Mickey Mantle from 1957 continues to please collectors across the hobby as the reigning 1956 AL MVP en route to his second consecutive award in 1957.
