1912 Olympiska Spelens #238 Jim Thorpe PSA 6 EX-MT
WORLD'S GREATEST THORPE!!! A great athlete in his prime is showcased on this exceedingly scarce, 3-1/4" x 5-1/2" postcard. A photographic depiction of Jim Thorpe in a Carlisle shirt and standing pose. Produced in Stockholm for the 1912 Olympics, the sepia-colored card offers incredible clarity and the back has normal postcard information: "OLYMPISKA SPELENS STOCKHOLM 1912 OFFICIELLA" followed by "BREFKORT", along with an official symbol. This clean, lightly handled rarity concedes the mildest of corner touches and minimal surfaces abrasions at the bottom right corner, and is holdered 6 EX-MT from PSA. POP 1 issue with only a pair of examples graded higher. This is the earliest dated collectible of Thorpe that's been acknowledged by PSA and is considered a rookie issue as well as being the only Postcard ever graded by PSA. The World's Greatest Athlete!
