(LOT 1369)
1969 Topps #43 Bill Bradley Rookie PSA 9 MINT

NEW JERSEY SENATOR!!!... Bill Bradley had one of the most successful careers off the court, politically speaking, than any other NBAer or professional athlete, save for U.S. Senators Jack Kemp and Jim Bunning. In his youth, Bradley was determined not only to become a basketball player but also to pursue a life in politics. He played for Princeton University (for their government and foreign service studies) and was the #1 player in the country, scoring 885 points in 1965. The 1965 College Player of the Year was then drafted by the New York Knicks. He led the Knicks to two championships in 1970 and 1973, and ultimately retired from the NBA in 1977.

After his NBA career, Bradley became a U.S. Senator from New Jersey for nearly two decades and ran for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States in 2000. Bradley was named to the NBA HOF in 1983. Offered here is a 1969 Topps #43 Bill Bradley Rookie graded 9 MINT by PSA. This example presents an incredibly bright white background, terminating at four sharp edges and four piercingly sharp corner tips. The colors stand tall, as does our subject, and the surfaces are clean and crystal-clear. A Hall of Fame Rookie with not a single issue graded higher.
