1966 Topps #126 Jim Palmer PSA 9 MINT
BALTIMORE ACE!!!... Jim Palmer improved his record in 1966 by ten games over the previous campaign posting a 15-10 record with a 3.46 ERA and 147 strikeouts in 30 starts. His impressive record earned him a spot on the postseason roster and a Game 2 start, of which he used to shutout the Dodgers facing the great Sandy Koufax. It was the Orioles first EVER World Series title. He would become one of the four "aces" of the Baltimore Orioles staff with Dave McNally, Mike Cuellar and Pat Dobson to win 20 games or more in 1971, only a year after capturing the World Series for a second time on four years. Baseball fans remember his mound dominance that spanned 19 seasons and three Cy Young awards with Baltimore. Offered is a near-perfect 1966 Topps #126 Jim Palmer graded 9 MINT by PSA. This is the finest in the hobby. Not a single GEM MINT 10 has ever been holdered. Exceptional centering, striking colors and imagery and impressive surfaces lead to this issue's amazing assessment.
