1962 Topps #70 Harmon Killebrew PSA 9 MINT
MINTY KILLER!!!... How great was Killebrew? During his 18-year career, he wasn't playing in a top market like New York, LA, Chicago or San Francisco, and he still managed to lead the American League in home runs six times from 1959 to 1969. His consistency was incredible as he averaged 131 hits and 38 RBIs from 1959-72. Playing in Washington, DC and Minneapolis, however, Killebrew did not have quite the firepower lineup that the Red Sox, Orioles or Yankees boasted, but the 13-time All-Star led the Twins to the 1965 American League pennant and ALCS losses in 1969 & '70. Harmon almost quietly hit 573 home runs and in 1969 was named the AL MVP after leading the league in HRs (49), RBIs (140), walks (145) and on-base percentage (.427). This 1962 Topps Killebrew offers the classic home run swing shot against a colorful stadium background framed perfectly within four wood-grained borders. In other words, your eyes will be in overload when you bring home this outstanding MINT card. Only a single card graded higher than this gorgeous gem.
