1933 DeLong #7 Lou Gehrig PSA 1.5 FR
THE IRON HORSE!!!... The immortal Henry Louis Gehrig stands as the foremost subject in the 1933 DeLong Gum 24-card set, presented here in an eye-pleasing PSA 1.5 holder. DeLong cards represent a mere fraction of their 1933 Goudey Gum brethren, with PSA listing some 250 DeLong Gehrigs versus approximately 2,700 Gehrig ‘33 Goudeys. His classic batting pose, unique for any cardboard issue, reveals a sparkling array of colored hues as Lou pulverizes another pitch towards the grandstands. Historically speaking, this iconic image was taken on the day the mighty Gehrig would clout four home runs against the Athletics at Shibe Park. Accounting for the somewhat harsh grade is even corner wear, a surface impression in the upper right quadrant, and some light stray wrinkles, one of which is situated in the center of the card.
