1952 Bowman #101 Signed Mickey Mantle PSA/DNA 9 MINT
SIGNED ‘52 MANTLE!!!... The surging prices of signed sports cards continue to steamroll ahead, with our National Pastime's greatest hero's cardboard heirlooms highly coveted when depicting an eye-pleasing autograph. This 1952 Bowman Mickey Mantle just happens to boast a bold "Mickey Mantle" blue Sharpie signature, appropriately rewarded with a PSA 9 MINT assessment! Neatly scripted across The Mick's classic pinstripe jersey, synonymous with the iconic Mantle image, the autograph portrays excellent positioning. Significantly valuable, other past sales of this exalted issue have realized lofty price tags including $39K (2/22); $48K (2/21); $69K (2/21); and a record-setting $99K in July 2023! The PSA Pop Chart only lists 24 signed examples (vs. 116 PSA 8 NM-MT unsigned specimens), a bona fide justification of its immense scarcity. Notable imperfections include a strong horizontal crease running through Mantle's forehead extending from the right to left edge, some other scattered wrinkles, and even corner wear. However, none of these flaws compromise the integrity of the momentous Mickey Mantle signature that turns back the clock to an era when this powerful Oklahoma native was embarking on a career for the ages!
