(LOT 141)
1910 T206 Tris Speaker Broad Leaf 350/25 PSA 3 VG – POP 1; Only Two PSA Examples Graded Higher!

BROAD LEAF SPEAKER!!!... Any T206 Broad Leaf 350 subject is highly coveted in the tobacco collecting community, let alone one representing an immortal Cooperstown inductee such as this PSA 3 Tris Speaker rarity. It currently stands as one of only four examples listed on the illustrious PSA Pop Chart, with this POP 1 scarcity bested by two PSA specimens! One of the most elusive of all T206 ad-backs, a Broad Leaf 350 Subject is listed as the 9th rarest advertisement of the 39 possible backs on the renowned T206 Resource website that has become the official "Bible" for T206 enthusiasts. This super obscure marvel was issued during the 1910 campaign that would see the Gray Eagle post a spectacular .340 batting average in only his second full season in Beantown.

Speaker would be embarking on one of the greatest careers of any all-time center fielder, with his .345 lifetime average, 3,514 hits, record-setting 792 doubles, and magnificent center field play in which he still holds the MLB record with an uncanny 449 lifetime outfield assists substantiating his hallowed stature. His classic batting pose has managed to elude any glaring flaws over the past 114 years, exhibiting fine clarity, a robust blue background, and atypical near-perfect centering. Preventing a higher assessment is even corner wear, a diagonal crease near the lower left corner, and general surface wear. Yet, it is the momentous Broad Leaf 350 Subjects bold brown advertisement that truly resides as the most significant feature of this timeless artifact, proudly standing tall as one of Speaker's finest T206 keepsakes on the planet!
