Often regarded as one of the greatest pitchers of all time, Cy Young pitched into his 40s, first having incredible speed and then having to adjust later on in his career, relying more on his control, still making him as effective as can be. Signed in a strong blue fountain pen, this envelope has been postmarked "Cooperstown Jun 12 9-AM 1939", the opening of the Baseball Hall of Fame. An incredible piece signed by one of the inaugural Baseball Hall of Fame inductees who entered the class with Ruth, Cobb, Wagner, Sisler, Johnson, Alexander, Mack, Speaker, Collins and Lajoie. A true Baseball Hall of Famer!
