ROCKET ROOKIE!!! Just as his nickname might indicate, Maurice Richard embodied speed, ferocity and explosive power as he led the Canadiens to eight Stanley Cups. Richard was the first man to score 50 goals in a season, accomplishing it in an astonishing 50 games. He was also the first to score 500 goals.
